Hullgrid: Exodus
Hullgrid is an interstellar inventory-management auto-battler. Combine ships, weapons, and modifiers to find powerful combinations to break through the fleets of enemy ships coming to destroy you!
This is still an very early prototype of the game, so I'm looking for any sort of feedback from people who haven't played it before. The balance is definitely out of whack still and the art and sound is very much in a placeholder stage, although I do intend to keep the pixel art aesthetic. Out of all the graphics currently I think the VFX are the closest to final.
Some of the updates in v0.2.1:
- A few new enemy ships and new more randomized spawning behavior.
- Various new ship and modifier tiles.
- Overhauled UI.
- New fancier background art.
- Added a couple of unlockable tiles.
- New "ability" tile that can be manually triggered.
- New "emergency jump" button that skips the current wave but severely damages the mothership.
- Lots of other little improvements...

Played to wave 40 on Chrome without any crashing issues.
Thanks for playing and letting me know! Also...I have to ask, could you tell me your strategy for getting that far? I've only made it to the mid twenties before my own creation defeats me.
Putting overclock on Rook gives them 90 DPS each. That's pretty much the core of it. I use the double spawner on two Rooks, both hooked up to the explode on death, 2x shield thingies and overclock. Then 4x AoE missile launchers to deal with the small fries and as many longbow's as I can fit and still have enough resources.
This game keeps crashing, I'm playing on chrome if that helps
Thanks for the heads up! Does it start up okay and crash after a little bit, or crash right away?
If you get a chance to try it again, I think it's fixed now!
It works now, This is a fun little game
