Hullgrid is an interstellar inventory-management auto-battler. Combine ships, weapons, and modifiers to find powerful combinations to break through the fleets of enemy ships coming to destroy you!

This is still an extremely early prototype of the game, so I'm looking for any sort of feedback from people who haven't played it before. The balance is definitely out of whack still and the art and sound is very much in a placeholder stage, although I do intend to keep the pixel art aesthetic. Out of all the graphics currently I think the VFX are the closest to final.

Some of the things I'm looking at for immediate next tasks are:

  • Rerolling tile choices with some sort of cost.
  • Showing the tile shape in the preview somehow, so you don't need to take the tile to see the shape.
  • More enemy ships, and a wider variety of waves so each run is a little different.
  • Figuring out some ways to get the player more directly involved in the combat. My leading idea for this right now is a new type of "ability" tile: like shield or heal a group of ships, fire an EMP at a certain spot, etc.

This game keeps crashing, I'm playing on chrome if that helps

Thanks for the heads up! Does it start up okay and crash after a little bit, or crash right away?

If you get a chance to try it again, I think it's fixed now!
